A New Year

I can't believe 2010 is over. And as you can see I didn't do well with blogging. But it's a new year, right? This year I have great things planned (well at least great to me) and am looking forward to sharing! I hope to add more to our little hobby farm, try new crafts, work on our home room by room, and enjoy watching our little one's grow. All of which I hope to blog about! Wish me luck, I'll need it, my days seem to fly by too fast!!

4th of July

I made Captain America shirts for the boys for the 4th. (The idea came from iammommahearmeroar.blogspot.com) They wore them to the parade and looked so patriotic! Judd refused to wear just the blue shirt so we had to put the red shirt underneath.
For Cora's patriotic shirt I made ribbon flowers and sewed them to the shirt. Next year I'll be more with it and come up with something fun for her.

Isn't he so Captain America?!? Look out world someday he may move mountains, climb tall buildings and be a hero to many.
The kids had lots of fun watching the fireworks. It was quite chilly though, which would explain all the blankets and jackets!

My little helpers!

Max taking a break from his hard day in the yard!
And boy am I thankful for my hard little worker. He is all about working outside. This little man is by our sides the whole time we are working in the yard. And he is working just as hard as us, filling his wheelbarrow and doing exactly what we are. Judd is a "real" farmboy!!

And of course I have my little gardener to help me along the way. She LOVES shopping for, planting and picking flowers!!! She always tells me we have so much work to do in the yard (which we do), and she really wants to help make our yard beautiful. What a lucky mommy I am to have such great little helpers!!

She will recover for a month and then do 5 weeks of radiation M-F, just as a precaution. I am so thankful for such a wonderful outcome! Mom I Love You!!!

Happy Birthday Max!

For Max's first birthday we had a farm party. Max didn't play any of the games but he had lots of fun, and so did everyone else! Our first game was to "milk" the cow. Doesn't Judd look like the perfect little farmer?

Here's Dylan finding the chicks and eggs. All of the party guests looked so cute in the farmer/cowboy attire!!

Max is 1!!

Ashlyn getting the "feed" ready for the animals!
And boy did Max LOVE watching all the games. He had so much fun even though he wasn't playing!
And for Max's farm birthday he got a bull.
His cake is supposed to be a barn. (Atleast I try, right?)
Our little family in our farm attire for our little little man's first birthday. Max brings so many smiles and loves to our family. His first year was rough but we have treasured every minute with him. We love you Max!!!

My Mom

Today my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. It's one of those things you think could never happen to your family and then it does. There has been a lot of tears and worries today! My Mom is an amazing woman. She has raised 7 children to be good people and has 16 grandkids that love her dearly. Along with my Dad she has given up so much for us kids to have what we need, and without even thinking twice about it. She and my Dad are true examples of Jesus Christ! I am so grateful they have taught me the gospel and we can receive peace during hard times!! Thanks Mom for helping me become the person I am and helping me see the person that I can become!! I LOVE YOU!!!!
